Girl Name

I absolutely love the name we picked out for our daughter. Gabriella Josephine. But it seems like all I head from my mom and grandma is that it's too long and she will never be able to spell it. I think it sounds really pretty and I will end up calling her Gabby Jo (which nobody has a problem with).

It's pretty let her shorten it if she wants to when she's older but that's a beautiful chioce

I don't think it's a hard name to spell at all, she'll hardly ever have to write/say her first and middle name together anyways.

It's very rare that a child will continuously misspell their name. It's the first thing they learn to write.

Would that be her first and middle name or full first name? If its first and middle I think it's cute but for a full first name I do think its a little long. As for your mother and sister saying she will never be able to spell it is dumb. She isn't going to be a small child forever sure she will get her name down adventually. I love Gabby as a nick name  

According to my son, giving long names is just mean. Lol
But, I love the name, it's beautiful and she will appreciate it once she is older.

That's what I told my mom today. Plus Gabriella isn't really that hard to spell. At least I don't think so.

Lol I never hear the end of it either because my daughters is obnoxiously long. Who cares as long as you like it, if your child grows up and hates it then they can just change it

I personally think its tad long, but its a beautiful name, and i'm sure she will appreciate having an ACTUAL name when she's older.

Beautiful name - I think it's silly when people bring up the reason "because they won't ever be able to learn to spell it". I have yet to meet someone who was never able to learn to spell their name unless they had some sort of disability.
