I'm sure she got a book when she first went into the ob office when she found out she was pregnant ask her for that. It has a lot of info. Or at least mine does, and closer to the back it has positions for labor that kind of thing. You may ask to go with her to one of her birthing classes. I do mine naturally and all I can say is that having someone do something to keep frustration from getting to me is great. Weather its the wrong music to listen to, just to hold my hand, comforting words, willing to be there even when your tired. Making sure the focus point isn't being moved or its out of the way when nurses come in.

The Business of Being Born is kind of inspiring, but it's extreme to some people. I liked it though, it really helped me for my birth with Emily. It's on Netflix. I like the original one instead of the 3 part sequel documentary.

I actually told her to watch that one night and that is what inspired her to go natural and get a midwife.   It is a good one.... I saw on Netflix that they made a sequel series? I haven't seen that one yet..

the hospital I went to would allow the women to bring up to 2 people with them, because most hospitals only allow 2 extra people in the room. With a midwife I'm not sure how that works tho.
