I understood you perfectly and im saying your doctor is either stupid or you misunderstood him. Because every other doctor will tell you its fine and you are no more of a risk of an infection than before you lost it.

You can lose your plug and not be dilated at all. If you're not dilated, your cervix isn't open and there is really no risk for infection if you soak in a bath. Even dilated you can soak in a bath, when your water breaks is when the risk of infection comes to play.

Well I guess every ones opinion is different and every Doctor is as well... I trust my doctor is telling me the truth and has the best interest in my and my baby's health. I have researched this doctor and he is VERY qualified. He has been to all the best medical schools and graduated top of his class at his schools and so forth I have done my homework on my Doctor and I know alot of woman do not go into the detail I did when looking for a doctor. So I doubt my Doctor is stupid or dumb. I think he knows what he is talking about.

I understood my Doctor very clearly " No baths for risk of infection now that you have lost your plug"   As I said everyone has a different Doctor with different opinion and ways of doing things. I am going to listen to my doctor I have confidence in him and that he has the best interest for me and my baby's health. He is a wonderful doctor he does not seem like the type that only is in it for the money like most.

I've had four, very different, very wonderful doctors and not one has ever told me anything absurd like that.

So basically what you're saying is every other doctor is wrong and your's is right? I have had multiple doctors and done my own research. Loosing your plug means jack smurf and you are perfectly safe for a bath. Water breaking risk of infection goes up and most doctor say no baths. Just think of one thing women give birth in tubs all the time so if it was such a big deal then they wouldn't allow it. Think logically when was the last time you sat in water a gush of water went up your vagina. Be smart done use bubble bath and salts just plain water and dont sit in your own filth but really its just a bath. Unless you're having other medical issues that would make your doctor say this.

If that were true, I would've had to stop taking baths 15 weeks ago, lol. And if that is true then I suppose your doctor won't be checking you with his fingers up your vag? I mean that's just as much of a risk IMO as bathing.

You are at risk for infection if your water breaks...but after losing your mucus plug? No. Your baby is still surrounded by the amniotic sac. So yeah, your doctor has no idea what he's talking about.

Women give birth in the tub...if that was unsanitary, hospitals wouldn't allow it.
