My son is 2 weeks old

and he has dark green runny poop ? what is causing this.. my mom said its from his gas cause lately he has had really bad gas... is that it or is it something else ?

Green poop is normal. My son is two weeks & they say its the right color.

Is he breastfed?
Breastfed babies can get the occasional green poop and its completely normal. If he carries on having them it could be he's getting too much fore milk instead of the fatty hind milk, in that case switch boob every other feed instead of every feed.
If he's formula fed I have no idea lol.

I BF though. I'm not sure what the poop should look like off formula :/

its normal, as soon as i stopped breastfeeding my son, he started pooping green.

My son is about the same age and formula fed, his poop is always army green and sometimes has yellow "seeds" in it.
