i think im going to freak out

posted 19th Nov
i am so opposed to letting my son sleep on his stomach, it freaks me out, but it is the ONLY way he will sleep by himself, i have tried everything else, waiting till hes in a deep sleep, bathtime, bedtime lotion, baby powder, feeding, swaddeling, infant positioner to side sleep, but the only way he will have it is on his stomach or in bed with me, so i just need some comforting words from you mamas that have tummy sleepers.

I was watching Good Morning America or something like that last week, and it came out that as long as there is no soft stuff in the crib, he's not under a floofy blanket and stuff, that sleeping on the stomach is fine, particularly for those babies that won't sleep any other way. All my kids were like that, and they turned out fine.

Both of my cousins children were tummy sleepers. That's just how your little one is comfortable.

My son was a tummy sleeper from the time he was born, he would not sleep unless he was on his belly. I lost alot of sleep the first couple weeks cause I would stare at him or wake up worried throughout the night. He was perfectly fine

DD could roll from back to belly at 2 and half months and after that there was no stopping it. Still at almost 7 months the only way she sleeps is on her belly.
