I hate hospitals. My second babys birth was a nightmare. Really traumatic as well. the home birth was very awesome and healing but too fast to process any of it.

With my son I wish I hadn't gotten the epidural, BUT it really isn't a big deal. I had a great labor and delivery with him.
With my daughter, I wish I'd been a little more educated and not allowed my OB to break my water and let it happen itself, so I could have avoided the c-section.

Yes, there are also post partum doulas who will help you do laundry, make you food, help with breastdeeding, etc.

my water started leaking both times i went into labour adn they broke it both times and it went so fast after that. Like crazy fast like 3cm to dilated in 20 mins... crazy how some peoples bodies are so differant!

I wish it had been less painful. It absolutely killed.. well at least made me want to kill myself. I also wish my progression hadn't slowed down so much after I got the epidural and I wish she hadn't taken so long to come out that the doctor had to use a vacuum to help her out. Everything turned out fine in the end, though, and I am grateful I got a vaginal delivery and a healthy baby.

They are worth it. My last birth was the first one i have had without one present. Another reason I had hoped it was longer. They are proven to reduce the chances of c sections. Some do PP and labor and some just do one or the other. Best of luck to you! I highly recommend Birthing From Within (book) if you have not read it :-)

I'll have to look into that should I ever have another baby.

Yeah I hardly had time to labor in the tub.

I wish I didn't have back labor once active labor hit but that's really about it, that week of early labor I had helped me so much I think, I got that 9 lb baby down low, then I only had to push for 10 minutes and he was out just 4 hours after my water broke.

It wouldn't have been possible for my pain to be more concentrated >.<

I wish I had been able to give birth at home. But idk if I would "Change" anything. I didn't have a traumatic experience, I have an awesome baby, I am pretty content.

I would change absolutely everything about mine...

I wish I had my children naturally. I wish my body hadn't failed me. I'm happy they were born safe and all but I feel robbed. Not sure I'll ever get over that

That's how i felt about Danika's. i wish i knew more back then. If I had known more I wouldn't have been induced, would have labored somewhere with competent people and someone would have caught her >.<
Your homebirth will heal you though. I promise :-) I am still sad about how Danika's birth turned out - but I just feel like I have closure since the HB.
