I'm so annoyed with Dr's and medical charts

This is my oldest. She's 8 1/2, weight 49lbs and is 50 inches tall.


She has been deemed underweight by the Dr's and they want her on a special diet to get her to 55lbs.

this is my son, he'll be 5 in Dec. He is 38lbs and 40 in tall.



He is considered overweight boarder line obese and needs a restricted diet,

This is my youngest, she is 3, 4 in Feb, she weighs 31lbs and is almost 37in tall. Her weight is "okay" but she's too short for her age.

All of my kids eat the same things, we rarely eat out and most everything I make is homemade. Somehow one of my kids is underweight, another overweight and yet another too short but "normal" weight. I'm getting so annoyed with this crap. I need to restrict my son but over indulge my oldest and keep my youngest the same? Really? They all look normal to me.. Do I just have "mom" eyes here? I'm not being ridiculous thinking out dr is out of her mind right?

I think they all look fine except your eldest. She looks thin too me - well compared to your others, but still I am very wary of drs that call kids like your son obese. I think you are fine though momma.

I think your kids look fine just regular kids I wouldn't worry

They look like healthy, happy kids. That would be hard to feed them all differently.

They all look completely normal and adorable!
I would ignore their advice. I'm surprised they didn't tell you that you need to start stretching your youngest to make her grow. haha.

She is thin, she's the same as I was at that age. That doesn't mean I should load her up with junk to fatten her up though.

Your kids look like a very healthy weight!! And your son is by no means overweight. Every person carries their weight differently, and he may have more muscle, which makes him heavier... That doctor is crazy, I would not be putting any of your children on a diet! Feed them healthy foods & if they start to look overweight, THEN be concerned about it... Sometimes doctors are too concerned with numbers and charts and fail to look right in front of them!!

Agreed. My 9 year old sister is the only a few pounds more and people say the same. If she eats its normal. Let her be

Yeah, I've never liked any dr we had to see on post and I'm getting more and more annoyed with them the older my kids get
