Not always. Your LH will fluctuate. So one day could be bare, the next blaring positive.

Huh. We're not actually TTC, I just want to see if/when I ovulate this month. I skipped my period last month and I'm not pregnant so I don't know what's going on. I've never missed a period before and not been pregnant.

Oh ok. Thanks. I could see the test line for sure but it definitely wasn't as dark or darker than the control line.

Not exactly. Ive started testing as early as cd6 and i had a light then too, but it didnt get positive till cd10 or 11. One time there could be a line, the next there might eb nothing, but you would think leading up to Ovulation that there would be a line mostly all the time...but im not doctor haha

Oh I see yeah I've been trying to findout when I ovulate because my periods are so irregular it feels like its impossible to find out when I'm actually ovulating.
Is there a chance you already ovulated?

No, they usually only show up really dark if you ARE ovulating at the time.
That's been my experience anyways!

They show up dark when the LH surge happens. Which is 12-36 hours BEFORE ovulation occurs. It's the last hormone to surge before an egg is released which is why you test for it to try and catch the egg.

I guess there's a chance but I'm really not sure. My last period was October 7 and I've never been late before without being pregnant. I had the Mirena for 9 days in June but I don't think it was in long enough to affect my cycles... I don't know lol

But it is the beginning of ovulation. So for me, that's when I would always try. lol I just wasn't clear i'm sorry!
