It'll be okay. I know it's hard. I have my tubes tied, so sometimes I feel that "no more newborns" thing, but that's okay. I know that the number I have now is perfect. And I will just have to wait until grandbabies =D

DH I don't think wants to fully commit to the idea either because he said no getting my tubes tied.
His thing is he's about to turn 39. He just wants to enjoy his kids and not be too old to really do that. I get it. And 4 is plenty. We have one room left so that each kid would have their own room even. So I mean....it makes so much sense.

But.................I don't want it to lol

Yeah, I know. It's really hard. I will say I like the finality. I'm sad I won't have anymore, but at the same time I love that I can make plans because our family is complete. We know how big our home needs to be. We don't have to save stuff for "if" we have another. We can set up our futures because our family is the size it will be, and I am surprised to really like that. To have that uncertainty gone.

But as I often say, it's smart not to do anything permanent until you are 100% sure. It's not a choice you ever want to regret.

I can see the nice part in having things settled and ready for the future.
I guess right now it's just way too new. It is still in the hurting stage.
And definitely not. I have such easy pregnancies and births. Its just so natural for me to have kids. I just know being a future Duggar family is not ideal LOL

And I'll admit that my pregnancies are NOT easy, so that might be why it was an easy choice for me. I had a 27 weeker, then my 2nd baby nearly came at the same time. Only lots of meds and bedrest kept him put till term. After those two experiences I felt I was lucky to have two healthy kids. I was done. The thought of being pregnant again makes me anxious. haha.

I don't know when or if we'll hit that point. SO originally said 1, then agreed to 2 or maybe 3 so we could have a girl, and now we are up to 4 after having the second one. At this rate I'll get 5 or 6 out of him.  

I feel the same way. I know I want this to be our last, but I don't know if I am officially ready to say this is it. I mean, 5 is super freakin scary. But maybe it won't be in a few years.

i know what you mean! DS was 2 1/2 when i had the mirena taken out. all was going well w/ TTC. then we had DS's 3rd bday party.... DH made comments about how the party scared him & he only wanted one. when DS was 3 1/2 DH finally comes out & fully admits he just wants one child!

i'm not completely at peace w/ this decision. i totally understand where he's at. and i'm definitely grateful we have one as this past summer DH was laid off. of course, we're not using any BC so he knows he is taking a risk each time. but then again it took us 5 years to conceive DS. i'm just not a fertile person. so i'm happy w/ my miracle baby!
