If you are/were on Lovenox/Heparin...

If you take or have taken Lovenox/Heparin during pregnancy, when did you doctor start you on the injections? My doctor doesn't want to start them until after we've heard the heartbeat. Does that sound normal? I'm taking baby aspirin now.

When did you get your BFP?? Last t i knew you were ttc! Were you pregnant and not know??

I got a faint positive on Friday.

I have MTHFR, as well as other clotting factors, and I'm amazed that they're not starting me on blood thinners ASAP.

My sister took the injections, and she started as soon as she found out she was pregnant, her doc knew she was TTC and told her to call as soon as she got her postive, she did.. was seen that day and got what she needed to start,

I started immediately upon knowing what we were dealing with...8-9 weeks, I want to say? It was 4 years ago. We had an ultrasound showing all well but had not yet heard a heartbeat.

I would ask to start it immediately.

From what I understand, you start immediately..

Very strange your doctor wants you to wait.

I have factor five leiden and as soon as I got a positive blood test I was started on lovenox which for me was just before I was 4 weeks.

I got mine when I switched doctors which was around 11 weeks. My first doctor wasn't going to do anything.

I think I would too. I Googled a bit and it looks like most start injections ASAP.

me and my sister have MTHFR but she has to take the lovenox and i do not but our doctor makes her go to the hospital the day she finds out for the shots until she can get in to see the doc for the perscription hope they get you your meds or in the office asap
