Lovanox is a anti clotting im talking like coomadine and those meds you can look up on internet about there difference s.

I'm a nurse. I know what they are. Lovenox is a blood thinner.

Every time I get blood drawn it still looks thick... so I just assume it prevented from clotting up... but then if I stick myself wrong I bleed like crazy...

Lovenox isn't as "strong" as Heparin. It's more stable in the bloodstream. But it's still an anticoagulant (i.e. blood thinner). It works the same way as Heparin.

Hmm thats interesting. I didn't know that, this is my first time during a pregnancy that I needed lovenox... I got a blood clot from birth control... and back to back losses. My first doctor wasn't going to put me on anything, she just said nothing with ginger in it... but then when I switched doctors... he set me up to be on them, and then at the end switch to Heparin. I hope everything works out for you!!
