External Version?

posted 19th Nov
So, I have been back & forth unsire if baby was head down & dropping or what. Well, last night I felt kicks very, very low down by my pubic bone. I go to my 36 week appointment tomorrow & will find out for sure how my LO is positioned. Thank God, because I seriously have no idea. Anyways, my aunt & SO's foster sister both had the same doctor as me. They said if he is breech, he may offer an external version. I have done a bit of research on it & some of the risks scare me. What do you ladies think of this? Have you had it done? Did it work?

I have heard of it and did alot of research as well. It can really put the baby in distress, it hurts the mom like crazy, doesn't always work and sometimes they flip back to breech even after the flip. I had a c-section at 39 weeks due to breech.

I read that it can twist the cord, the amniotic sac can rupture, baby's heartrate can drop & it can lead to an emergency c-section as well. Even though I am terrified of surgery, if baby doesn't turn, I am going to have him schedule me a c-section. It will be safer for him & that's all that matters to me.

my lo was breech at 36wks she ended up flipping head down at 37.5wks and was born a week later ....she had a huge knot in her cord, that doc said probably occured when she flipped herself.

I sure hope he turns, but with my luck I will have to have a c section & I am terrified! Lol.
