Both of those sound extremely bad for cloth diapers

Sun them, if you can. It helps A TON at getting stains out. I've also seen mamas have great success with Buncha Farmers Stain Sticks. They are cloth diaper friendly and seem to work really well from all the pictures and testimony I've seen. I've got some on the way that I can't wait to try out!!

Lemon juice and sun, like a pp said. And if you did that to any PUL items, they are most likely toast lol

Ammonia is recommended for cloth diapers and Murphy's oil soap is from vegetable oil soap not toxic at all

Ammonia would probably eat through PUL.

Murphy's oil burned the smurf out of my HANDS, I'd hate to know what it'd do to diapers! And ammonia is stronger and more hostile than bleach

It does. Ask me how I know? LOL! I had some Windex I'd just bought and some PUL diaper cuts I'd gotten in the mail. I threw the fabric in the bag with the Windex so I'd have less packages to carry in. The Windex was leaking slightly. Where it landed the laminate on my fabric bubbled up and then with washing turned into little holes. I wouldn't recommend using an ammonia cleaning product on diapers at all!!!

call me an idiot, i have no idea what PUL means.

anyways - i would have tried the sunning, but there is no sun here right now.
all we get during day time (which is like 6-7 hours of daylight) is a smurfload of fog and rain

could i soak them in anything to try get the stains out, without smurfing up the color/patterns and minky on them?!
