re: IEP made funny

I'm so glad I found this site! I've been wanting to be part of a smart, witty group of progressive special needs moms and, thanks to the link to this post, now I know where to find them. You guys are like stale wheat toast...no flavor. Have a drink and lighten up, bitches!

IEPs are serious business. I have been to several and our latest ones have broken down. We have hired a lawyer and are likely going to have to sue the school district to get appropriate services for my son.

But you know what? This was funny. Stop taking yourselves so seriously. If you can't laugh once in a while, joke about what is so hard - because there's a lot of hard stuff here - then life must be pretty sad for you.

On topic I actual thought parts of the article were funny, but I also can not stand my son's Principle so I would enjoy annoying him.
