Are Muslims "seceding" in New York?

Uh WTF? They are collecting money through the state and by drug dealing and sending it back to Pakistan? Nice.
No, I don't think anyone will allow this. However, it will probably continue. They'll just hide it better.

However, if they do make a community, which they have a right to do, they still have to abide by American laws or else it is going to be another Waco.

No because I firmly believe in separation of church in state. That's wrong.

I'm not sure how our government deals with religious cults. My knee-jerk reaction is to say that they should be allowed to do what they wish as long as it is within the law.
they should also have to do what everyone else does regarding welfare benefits and such.
I have no problem with additional resources policing them if there is a concern about a homeland security threat.

Not sure why. It seems so....Jim Jones" to me. I mean, have your own religion and such, but governing under Sharia and not OUR laws...that crosses the line, to me.

Well that site seems very biased. The ENTIRE point of the website seems to be to discredit the Islam faith. If you do a search for Islamberg you get a LOT of conflicting information, you can never be sure what is actually true.

If there was proof of these allegations I doubt it would still be there. The government has stepped in to MANY cults when the break the law. It seems like a lot of allegations, and a lot of ignorance, but not very much proof that any of these things are actually happening.

A lot of it could be. The ENTIRE site is anti-Muslim. It's sort of like believing a KKK site about a group of all-blacks. They're already biased, so I don't put a lot of stock into many of their allegations without good proof.
