haven't you had a meeting with a nurse to go over what's safe and not? They recommend you quit while pregnant, or at least cut back but they don't make a huge deal out of everything like you are. Just remember our grandparents were probably drinking, smoking, lifting heavy things etc... all before they studied the things it can do to an unborn fetus and mother. I'm not saying that stuff is okay, i'm just saying you should calm down a little.

Eh i ate sushi while I was pregnant. And soft cheeses. All three times. Everything is fine in moderation imo.

I gave up feta and blue cheese the first time around. I just can't do it this time lol

No.. I think I'm wording it wrong. When I was pregnant with my son. I did NOTHING. I did literally nothing. Thats why I'm doing it all now because I'm not pregnant anymore. Well until I just found out that I'm pregnant again. I stopped everything.

I'd be more worried about thirdhand smoke than anything else you're concerned with.

The issue with raw foods like sushi or deli meats is that when you cook meat or fish it kills any bacteria that may be present but if it is raw then if there is any bacteria it can make you sick. If you didn't get sick from it (vomiting etc...) then there was no bacteria present. I eat sushi and deli meats all the time and never get sick so I don't think it is a very high risk - I still avoid it while pregnant just in case though.

Freaking out over stupid smurf is going to give yourself a miscarriage. Calm the hell down, there are crackheads that produce healthy babies. You didn't knowingly do any of these things and I highly doubt you did them in excess anyway.

Yeah believe me I know how it is. I breastfed my son for 2 1/2 yrs and then got pregnant again. So I gave up everything for sooooooooo freaking long(over 3 yrs) and he was just starting to self wean so there was a glimmer of hope and now I'm pregnant again lol...

I understand why you're not supposed to eat it, but I don't smoke cigs or go on roller coasters or eat lunch meats etc etc etc so I figure sushi is nothing.
You can get food poisoning from anything.
