Not Sure if I should be mad or worry

I recently discovered my SO was texting another girl and hiding it. I confronted him on it and he basically said nothing happened but he never came clean until i found out about it. Then he said " we had not met yet" and then changed the story to she is an old family friend. I don't know if he was planning on cheating on me with her if he is cheating now I am confused and upset. I can't imagine my life with out him.

what was the conversation between them like? With the story going from never met to an old family friend that would raise a flag for me

Umm yeah he's lying.

I was always told if you have to hide it from your spouse or SO you've already had an emotional affair. Sorry but just from what you posted there were red flags for me.

In April we were apart for 2 weeks (broken up) and they had been talking about sex and hanging out again. I don't know his text history we have this cellphone though that keeps a history of when you text people even if you don't keep the actual conversation and he has been texting her for hours and claims it was nothing. He was texting her at times when he was working.

Yeah, he's probably been cheating. You don't talk to a girl for that long without ever actually following through with it.

Does it even matter? If I ever found out my SO was talking to another girl about sex even if we were broken up and then continued texting her for hours on end when we got back together, and hid it and lied about it, I'd be GONE.

That doesn't justify it. The intent is there. You know, its like planning a murder and getting found out.. you still get in trouble even if your plans are spoiled & you never played em out...

I already sent him on his way he has not been here since Yesterday morning at 4 am. He knows whats coming.
