Treadmill or eliptical?

Which gives you the best workout? I'm leaning more towards eliptical because running kills my left ankle from tearing a ligament in highschool (and continuously reinjuring it over and over again   ) I get to pick one for my Christmas present.

Eliptical all day.
Easier on joints too.

I personally like treadmills. I hate ellipticals with a fiery passion. I just find them boring, and I guess I'm not coordinated enough.

However, if you have joint problems ellipticals are MUCH better because they put less stress on your joints.

I hate the damn treadmill.

I prefer our elliptical.

elliptical. We have a treadmill and I hate it. It hurts my shins. I would rather walk outside. I wish I would have went with an elliptical.

We have both. Ellipticals are easier on your body.

I love my elliptical, when I want to run or walk I just go outside.
