Cutting a tooth already?!?!?!?

posted 19th Nov
My daughter has been super fussy lately so I checked her gums and she is cutting a tooth! It’s a top eye tooth… I called her pediatrician but have yet to hear a call back. Can this happen this early?!?!? Can I give her baby oragel??? She is NOT happy…

How old is she? It's more than likely possible. Do not give baby orajel, or anything with benzocaine in it. It's very very bad for anyone to take. Try a frozen damn washcloth, or a frozen paci if she uses those.

Of course it happens! Haha some babies are even born with teeth coming out. How old is she? I would NOT recommend orajel, it helps for 5 minutes and then it gets worst. I have Hyland's Teething Tablets, they are all natural and are fantastic!

You sure its an eye tooth? DD cut what I thought was her eye tooth after her 2 bottom teeth but it ended up being the one next to where her front tooth would be. It came in at a point/angle

It really is. There's huge red warning signs at the WIC office about it causing seizures and stuff.

DD cut her first tooth at 3 months old. She's 6.5 months old now and has 7 teeth!
So it is definitely possible.

To help, I sometimes chilled her soother in the fridge for a few minutes. I also found that she liked to chew on my fingers.

Did you not realize you answered your own question?
Mine started teething at 8 weeks, and by 11 weeks he had two teeth all the way out.

No, you really shouldn't rub alcohol in your infant's mouth.
It's not 1950 lol.

Or ya know, you could not rub alcohol on her gums and use something age appropriate like teething tablets, ice, frozen paci/damp cloth, etc.

Do NOT give her oragel. It makes it harder for the tooth to come through. Try Hylands teething tablets...they are all natural, also try tylenol and a cool teething ring.

Also, check this out.....
