hemmeroids TMI

posted 19th Nov
So I was lucky and made it through my pregnancy without these stupid horrible things but after giving birth TADA they made their appearance. What can I do to help with hemmeroids? Im 7 weeks PP and pretty freaking constipated as well but the time has come where I am starting to go #2 more but it is excruciatingly painful and theres a bit of blood as well from the hemmeroids   And also the fact that I have never seen poop that thick around. SORRY that was gross but It's like im giving birth out my bum and its painful! I have my OB appointment on Friday finally but are there some things I can do before then to try and help out my little problem. I know I need to up my fiber for the constipation but the hemmeroids are killing me
OT HAH so cute I read out the last part as I was typing it and Travis let out a little giggle for the first time! This kid...hes the perfect timing to make things funny as hell

Stool softeners for when you go to the bathroom. To relieve the pain get some Preparation H, Tucks pads and pain relieving spray (can't remember the name of it sorry).

Stool softeners. They are a lifesaver.
Also, I had horrible HORRIBLE hemorrhoids after birth, they were swollen and hurt like hell. I tried every classical medicine to get them to stop hurting, even prescription drugs, but nothing helped. My midwife gave me a tip that was a life saver: get some black tea bags (like earl grey), let them soak in hot water for a good while, take them out, and put them in the fridge. Every 1-2 hours, pop a cold tea bag from the fridge onto your butt. The cold relieves the pain and the theine in the tea reduces swelling. I was hemorrhoid free 2 days after doing this

should i be taking a stool softener every day? I took one 2 days in a row and that still did not help out with the #2 situation

I have natural stool softeners that I take with every meal, don't know how prescribed stool softeners work, sorry!
