Coshowering
posted 19th Nov
As a single mom, it's much easier for me to get a shower in in the evening if I coshower. I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old. They are both girls. I usually only do the coshower with the youngest, but on occasion my older daughter asks to come in...and I'm not sure if I should let her or not.. My question is, at what age would it be "inappropriate" for me to continue the coshower?

aww I personally don't see anything wrong with it. I think it should be a comfort thing for the both of you. sounds like she just wants to be included.

As long as you're both comfortable with it, it's not inappropriate.

My daughter is 3 and she loves to shower with me. (I love it too.) But I was wondering the same thing. When is she "too old" to shower with me.

I dont see anything wrong with it. Me and my sister would occasionaly coshower with my dad up until age 6 and I dont remember paying any attention to anything but playing lol

I agree with everyone else!

Its perfectly fine until one of you becomes uncomfortable with it. Im 25 and while I dont shower with my mother I can comfortably sit in the bathroom while she does (or vice versa).

shes only 4..i think its ok. she will let you know when she doesnt feel comfortable anymore...i know as i grew up i went through that stage where i didnt want my mom to see me naked anymore lol

I love coshowering! The little one I hold and she clings to me like a little monkey! It's adorable! Hahah. I don't feel uncomfortable with having my 4 year old join us, I just wanted to get some opinions on it! Its just so much easier to get us all done at once!-and saves water!

My daughter is 8 and we sometimes coshower. If we just came back from the beach or the park I will take a shower with her and my son just so we are all clean at the same time and no one loses hot water.

I don't see a problem with it either. I always put my god-daughter in the shower with me while she was growing up. When she was about 8 or 9 she still wanted to shower with me and I told her no. She told me it wasn't weird lol! I told her I didn't think it was weird that we just wouldn't fit in there together anymore

I still co shower with my 4 yr old. It's just easier when we are in a rush and I don't have time to give her a bath. She sits in the tub while I wash up and then I wash her. I know she will grow out of the co showering with me when she gets older so it's no big deal. Now if I could only get her out of my bed lol we have been co sleeping since she was a baby and she refuses to leave my bed haha

I still coshower with my 10 yr old sometimes, if she decides she needs to shower at that moment in time and we are pressed for time, she also showers with her 4 yr old sister as well as my 4 yr old jumps in with me too some days.
But mostly my 10 and 4 yr old shower together. lol

I don't think it is inappropriate at all!! I coshower with both my son and daughter (3 and 5). We all love it.
