If you're going to be using Caine anyways, use that as his first name. And not with the E, the correct spelling is Cain.

We named our son I M with the intention of calling him M. I'm the only one that does. But even then I usually call him by his first and middle name together.

So I guess by the story I mean to suggest to put the name you want to call him first.

I would spell it Kane. William Kane.

we thought about it but where we got the name was from SO friend from like middle school named their son that and he wasnted to do the spelling a little different than them ... as long as its not Cane like Candy Cane lol
