Did I not mention in that thread that that was the only way I've ever seen it spelled and I am contemplating on spelling? lmao and that's not how I spelled it. She also said she didn't want to spell it the same was as her SO's friend in school so she changed it up.

I went by middle name until I was 16. I never got confused and neither did my teachers or classmates. I switched to my first name when I was 16, though. If someone gets confused at first, they will figure it out and move on.

I was named after my great uncle lol, it was either that or Elka after my great grandma, I would have much rather had been named Elka, love that name. DH said he doesn't like Dawn because he feels like when he calls me that it sounds like he's married to a 40 year old man with a beer gut  .

I love both names. I have a cousin named Kane, and though i don't like the spelling (with the K) i've always loved his name. William is just a classic, nice name.

That's what I was worried about if I had a boy. I wanted to name him after my father William Everette. But I hated the thought of anyone calling my son Billy... Billy bob. If I still lived up North it would have been straight up Bill. Or Will. anyways I'm having a girl so I'm not much help.

William Caine is pretty, and strong. The cocaine joke will happen no matter how you spell it.
