This I believe. However if he told you MEXICO is getting STATEHOOD( A foreign country with nothing to do with the united states) You need to check where the smurf your lawyers license to practice law came from... mainly just check that its not the back of a cracker jack box.

I mean there has been talk in the past about it happening but I don't see that falling through. Even if the US decided to offer statehood, I really doubt Mexico would accept.
