Antibiotics and birth control

I am on antibiotics (only 3 days left) for strep throat and bronchitis. I just had some amazing sex and he came inside me (twice now). I didn't even think about my meds counter acting with my birth control pill. i am about 3 days from ovulation. bad news bears? do antibiotics really affect birth control?

NOT all of them and it not only depends on the antibiotic but the BC you use! Ask your pharmacist they will be able to tell you right away!

Yes they do always they should have told you when you picKed them up from the pharmacy

Yes antibiotics cancle out birthcontol thats why they tell you to use another form of bc while on antibiotics

It def effects many bc pills

Check the label insert for the ones you use

we did the deed last night and this morning. plan b still work? if so i am running to the store now.

Plan be works for up to 72 hours I think. 70 - something hours. I had an accident, took Plan B and it's was like the accident never happend. They are pricey though, almost $80.

I think antibiotics cancel out hormonal birth control.

guess i better go get some plan b. yeah but it's worth it, we aren't ready for another kid. def. not yet.

i mean i do track my ovulation and i am not going to ovulate for another 3 days or so though...so maybe it isn't worth plan b.

Just a warning, I got the plan b cause I missed some pills and it made me a total raging psycho
