baby not content with anything

posted 19th Nov
my son is almost 3 month old and is not content for anything. he wont sit in his swing or bouncy for more than 5 mins at a time. i try talking to him and playing with him but he gets bored of me within 10 mins. I just dont know how to make him be content with anything i get so frustrated sometimes. I cant get anything done around the house and i have a 20 month old as well that i feel like im depriving. I have tried putting my lo on his playmat and try playing with both of them but that last nomore than 10 mins as well. Any other mom have a baby like this and what do you do to keep him happy?

My LG is 10 weeks old and she gets like this at times, only 2 things work, i either have to lie her in her crib and leave her alone, or i put her in her sling and carry her about while i do other things without actually interacting with her. sometimes she just wants to be left alone and gets more agitated the more attention i give her, while lying in her crib she will babble away to herself and play with her hands, but if i go to pick her up before shes "ready" she just screams at me, so i just leave her now until she cries for me

my DD was like this and it turned out she was what they call a "high needs" baby. I went crazy not understanding why she was so unhappy all the time until I realized that she was wanting a specific thing. My DS was content just hanging out playing with his feet but not my DD! She would spot something all the way accross the room and cry until I would figure out that's what she wanted, drove me nuts!

Just hang in there it will get much easier very soon. You have to remember that babys get very bored very quick, they need us to keep them entertained until theyre able to do it themselves. Once a baby is able to sit up and play by themselves for a few minutes your life will be much easier.

I hope so i feel like im going crazy right now plus im a single mom to 2 so its not like i can give my lo to someone else for a little while to keep him entertained. I just keep telling myself only about 3 more months and he should be sitting up and crawling and it should be alot easier

Yes, my son is like this. When he was a baby I would just put him in the moby and he would just cry. I would chase my daughter around the house with him in the moby and the bouncing would sometimes calm him, but mostly I just wore him and listened to a lot of crying.

I hate hearing him cry but sometimes i just have to put him in his crib and let him when im trying to make dinner or doing laundry. I just cant wait until this helpless stage is over and he can start getting around on his own

My son is 9 months and has been crawling for 3 months and he still is like this, lol. Some nights he will spend the entire night just crawling around fussing about nothing. I try to hold him and he gets pissy it's like he just wants to complain, lol.

He is nearly always happy out of the house though, so we spend several hours every day out playing at different places.

I think he just gets bored with being home.
