Sick again

Baby boy (1) is sick AGAIN with upper respiratory infection. The doctor sounds like a broken record, saline drops, cool mist humidifier and blah blah but now he has a cough and has a diaper rash. I have tried everything, no diaper, washing him in the bathtub or with a rag instead of baby wipes, using Butt Paste and Desitin but nothing is working for his poor butt. Right now he is passed out but I can hear him coughing and it makes me sad. I too am sick now with a sore throat, stuffy/runny nose and a small cough. Also my daughter is starting with the cough  . I guess it will be a day at the doctors if we can get in. This totally sucks. I don't understand how my son can get so many upper respiratory infections when we never go anywhere. Grrrr. Frustrated, tired and sick

Sounds like you are doing everything right. As for the diaper rash I would quit using the desitin. My daughter had chemical burns from it when she was a baby and it can actually make a small diaper rash much worse.

Try aquaphor and lots of naked time for the rash. It worked wonders for my little dude.

I've tried nakey time and even let him sleep without a diaper but wrapped in his towel and laid on a towel but it still soaked through lol. I will try more when he wakes up

Coconut oil is natural, anti inflammatory, anti bacterial, and EXCELLENT for diaper rash.
A few drops of breastmilk in the nose can really help with congestion

True, but if the rash is yeast, cornstarch will make it worse.

Thanks ladies and I don't breast feed and haven't since my LO was about a month old. Don't think I will go around asking someone to squirt breastmilk in my sons nose lol.
