'm 39 weeks 4 days along, and I refuse to take castor oil. My mother took it when she was pregnant with me, but at least I was 2 weeks overdue. But, it also caused complications when she went into labor with me.

i think that u still have time before ur waters break walking helps speed up the process and is very good for labour u are only 37 weeks so u still have time when the bubba is ready to come it will just happen

I don't believe your doctor told you to force labor unless he is Michael Jackson's doctor.
When I was 37 weeks I was told I would be induced at 38 and although I wanted him out ASAP I wouldn't put his life at risk. All the way though the pregnancy they tell you "NO CASTOR OIL!" for a reason. There was one girl admitted the same day as me who lost her baby because of it which I really hope isn't the case but you need to tell them what you did so they can monitor your baby and make sure there are no problems.

Someone posted the other day about why people on here don't reply with nice comments...... This is why! People post the most stupid smurf EVER after doing possibly harmful stuff to their babies and then beg for a bloody gold star! Jeez!

My grandma almost killed my uncle with caster oil... not a good idea.I went 42 wks and two days with my daughter never got that desperate... Not judging just saying.
