Everything but baby!

I've been into labor and delivery twice!! My contractions have been at 5 minutes apart and lasting a minute or more...ALL day long! For 4 days straight!! To top tha off the over night nurses blew 4 of my veins and I opted to go home because my daughters heart beat dropped due to the stress.The ob prescribed me ambien and I took it got a good hour of sleep and woke up every 5 minutes curled in a ball crying. Today I decided I would give the ambien another try and fail again it just made me sick. I've lost my mucous plug, my bloody show and I keep having spotting but they said its normal. These contractions grow in intensity but won't get closer together what a bummer and on top of that the over night ob said if the contractions keep up and I have no broken water I'll need to be induced because my daughters h.b is affected by it. I have until th 21st :/ and I'm pretty bumme at this point.

That's awesome. There are a lot of birthdays, anniversarys, etc. in November in my family. Im worried about an induction but if I dont dilate on my own I'm doomed

This happened to me as well.. Was in latent labor for 5 days, contracting every 5 for a minute each, it was pure hell. I had back labor as well, which they tell me is more painful coz LO's spine was up against mine. They gave me pethidine shots on the thurs and fri night to get me to sleep, which also didn't work, i slept an hour an a half on thurs and not at all on the fri and they induced me on saturday morning. the good news was, they broke my waters saturday morning at 9am and he was out by 3.15. So pretty quickly as these things go, I think. Try heat packs, they helped a little for me. The only way I could deal with contractions was getting on my hands and knees and rocking, and they put me in the birthing pool on the friday night (well, 4am saturday morning I guess) and that was really helpful as well. Didn't hurt as much with the weight off.
I really hope things progress naturally for you and things go really quickly once it starts. Stay strong, you'll forget all about the pain when you're holding your gorgeous baby in your arms   It won't last forever.

Thank you for replying. I don't feel alone now. I'm trying so hard to tough it out without being miserable but nothing helps. I just wih I could sleep through it all. I'm just thinking about the end of it all. Hope I comes easy and bless your heart. I'm also having back labo and hem rods to top it all off.

By day three I was a mess. My midwife just kept saying "You aren't in labor, you aren't in labor". I almost punched her. I was like, THEN WHY THE SmUrf AM I HAVING CONTRACTIONS EVERY FIVE MINUTES?! But they don't count it as "labor" until you're three cm apparently. Took me 5 days and about 6 sweeps to get there. By day four (the thursday) I was a sobbing, writhing mess, I couldn't concentrate on anything, and turned up at the birthing unit at 4 in the morning wanting pain relief lol. Ugh that sounds completely awful, back pain AND hemorrhoids   Can they give you pethidine (although I think it's called something different) to help you sleep? It's an intense drug but sleep makes all the difference, I dilated a cm in the hour and a half I was asleep. Not sure whether that's related or not. What are they going to do if you don't progress, just break your waters?

I went through that for 3 weeks with both pregnancies. It sucks ass. Are you dilated at all? With both of mine I stalled around 4cm with the "false" labor and then nothing until my water broke. I had a smurf ton of fluid that prevented the baby from being able to move down but never showed on the ultrasound. I was technically induced with my second they broke my water at 6:30am and she was born at 8:15am.

I'm calling my ob tomorrow morning! I need something especially with a toddler on the go I'm in so much pain. I'm at a 3 nothing has changed and they will break my water if it doesn't come naturally but I'm worried since I'm not dilating on my own

It took six days for me to get from 1cm to 3, and two hours to get from 3cm to 10cm once they'd broken my waters. Hopefully if it comes to it and they do break your waters things move just as quickly for you  
But oh my god, you deserve a medal for dealing with that AND a toddler.
