Am I overreacting to be bothered by it?

Soo I was being nice to my BD and told him he could come over on Thanksgiving to see the baby & spend the holiday with her, I am trying to be nice because he rarely sees her as is, like he hasn't seen her in a few months.

Well anyways, first he tells me "oh ok cool , do you want me to bring anything?" I was like "no, my mom and I will be cooking every thing." So he was like cool. Then, today I texted him because I totally forgot to ask him if he worked on Thanksgiving & I was unsure if he thought about that either when telling me that he would come. Well he tells me he doesn't know yet, and I was like "that's weird that they haven't told you yet if you needed to work because Thanksgiving is this week." He is like "I know it is this week calm down" and then he goes, " I am not eating at your house, I am eating at my mom's house, so I am truly & honestly only going to be with her (my DD)" I was like "okay, then"

Idk it just seems rude that he just says that like out of nowhere, am I overreacting or did that seem like a snippy smurf thing to say? It just bothers me that I am trying to be nice and he acts like an smurf to me for no damn reason.

Sounds like maybe there is another woman around and he is trying to put on a show.....

Honestly if it was me I would be happy if he showed up and spent time with his DD weither he stayed to eat or not.

Maybe he didn't think it mattered if he was working or not, since he wouldn't be there for food and just his daughter anyway. I don't think he was rude.

Meh, he always has his little girl friends, they never last though. He does ALWAYS try to act like I want to be with him....like say we get into an argument about something stupid....he will try and throw in that he will never get back with me....I always tell him not to flatter himself because I don't want him, he is a smurffy father & was a smurffy bf too.

Oh no, idc if he eats or not...I just think how he threw it out there made it seem kind of rude.

Well he works nights and starts work at 6 & we are going to be doing all of the get together at 6ish...so that is why I ask, but I just thought the way he threw it out there out of nowhere was like he was trying to be a dick about smurf.

Yea, I haven't said anything because it would be a dumb argument. Honestly, idk if he does or not. He has EVERY excuse in the book as to why he can't come see her, he hasn't seen her since September and he very rarely will ask me about her....it gets annoying. Idk if he will even come or not but it was my idea to ask him, he never really asks me if he can see her.
