Excuse me while i sound like an over-worried mom :(

I promise i'm not the type to be an overly worried person over every bump 'n scratch,
But my son (7) just came down from bed (has been down since 8pm, so for about an hour) complaining of a tummy ache.

He had grilled cheese, tomato soup, and cucumber slices for dinner. And water (but that's all he drinks) Went to bed awhile after.

I'm only asking cos it's the first time, in 7 years, he's complained of a stomach ache  

I gave him some water and tucked him back in, but it's probably just a standard kid tummy ache, right? or what could've caused it?

Could be a standard kid tummy ache. Could be gas. Could be constipation As long as there is no fever, vomiting, diarrhea or anything like that, I wouldn't worry too much.

He may be getting a tummy bug. It happens. If it never has in 7 years, count yourself lucky lol. Hell I get it just from eating sometimes. Like tonight had dinner, and ended up in the bathroom, feeling like my guts were ripping out.

And yeah, it's almost weird, 7 years, never had diarrhea or vomiting illness. he's had colds 'n such, but nothing where insides are coming out of him at any sort of speed.

definitely! on the other hand, i've definitely been thrown up on in my sleep by my daughter after she ate hot dogs at her dads *shudders*

There's a bug going around lately, DH has complained of his tummy aching all week.
