Ugh help!

Making some brownies, and don't have any oil. I've heard you can use apple sauce, and thankfully i have some. But does it taste the same? Would i put in 1/2 cup of apple sauce for 1/2 cup oil, or more or less?

Yes u can use applesauce but ud have to google the ratio for substitution.

Ok i looked it up and a cpl different sites said 1 to 1 substitue. U might not put quite as much applesauce as it said brownies will be a bit more sticky, but me i like sticky gooy brownies! Good luck n have fun...

Yes substitue same amount of applesauce for the oil. Let me know how they taste. Ive heard they r good and alot better for u too.

I'm mixing the batter, and it has chocolate pieces in it and i keep eating them  

I bake with apple sauce a LOT. They taste the same and are so much better for you. You can sub bananas as well.

Thats good to know! I actually like how the batter tastes with the applesauce in it.

Im sssooo jealous i have been craving chocolate so bad...cant wait for tomorrow im going to make no bake cookies and fudge! I moght share with dh and ds...not sure yet...lol

I've wanted chocolate a LOT, but i have to take it easy because of my diabetes.

I'll share my sweet potatoes if you bring me a brownie.

I am so lucky in that area, im hypoglycemic(however u spell it) and can eat sweets as long as i balance it with the right protiens. But alas no chocolate in the house till i go grocery shopping tomorrow. But i try not to keep too much on hand. Ive done really well weight wise so far only gained 12lbs, so doc said i can eat what i want as long as nutritious stuff comes first. Ya tell a pregnant chocoholic that...lol
