Christmas cost

posted 18th Nov
How much are you spending on your kid(s) this Christmas? If you have more than one kid, how much do you spend on each kid?

Like 50.00 tops. I went second hand for a few things, plus we don't believe in overdoing things like gifts, we try to put more emphasis on family time. (This is for one child).

We tend to go overboard with the kids. We spend about $200 each on the main Santa gift which we already got them and this year wasn't too bad $100 for my sons and $118 for my daughters. And then a few gifts each from mum and dad about $200 - $300 each... Really depends on what we get. So far they have 6 gifts from us   just couldn't help ourselves and its adding up to about $150 on son and $180 on daughter for those gifts.

We did layaway at Kmart and we spent $160 on our oldest and then $150 on our youngest. In a way, I feel like it's enough but then I feel like it's not enough. If it were up to me, I'd be one of those moms who went way overboard but my youngest daughter has a birthday 2 weeks before Christmas and my oldest daughter has as birthday a month after Christmas so it makes it hard on buying so much for Christmas.

We have one kid and we'll probably spend $300 - $400 if we get everything we plan on getting.
