Elf on the shelf

Anyone have one? What are they all about. I saw them at Target the other day and wanted to get the boys one but I know nothing about them.

i got my mom one last year... its a little doll that you move around the room.. the idea is that the elf watches your kids (husband too lol) and then reports back to santa on if youve been naught or nice.. it comes with a book that explains more

I'm so excited to get one!
I think they're horribly cheap looking though.

It was 30$ and around the books and movies.

We got one last year. My son loved it. If you are on pinterest there is a ton of ideas for your elf on the shelf to make it fun for LO. The idea is that the elf is watching and reporting back to santa nightly thats why he is in a different spot in the mornings. There are a lot of fun ideas to keep it interesting.

personally me! i got it for my mom lol... lets just say romantic night by the fireplace is soooo not happening if that doll is there! lol.
