This came up on FB from one of my friends shortly after I put my outdoor christmas decorations up:

"It is just mind boggling to me that people are already putting up Christmas decorations. Doesn't anyone remember Thanksgiving is a holiday to celebrate being thankful for the blessings god has given us!!!"

I replied:

"You can still be thankful and put up xmas decorations. Just like Christmas, it's not the presents that make the holiday. I have no thanksgiving decorations to put up."

Where would you stand on this?

I usually put up my Xmas decorations the day after thanksgiving. But I don't judge if people put them up before lol what a silly thing to rant about on Facebook.

Thats what I thought. It's not like I'm going up the street Caroling christmas songs to everyone's door. I just like decorating and I didn't have Thanksgiving. If I had Thanksgiving outdoor decor, I would have had a blast but Christmas was my next best thing.

Really Thanksgiving is only a few days away anyways. I don't have Thanksgiving decor either. I always get soooo excited for the holidays. Thanksgiving kinda kicks off the holiday season for us. Now I wanna put my tree up haha

I usually wait until after Thanksgiving. I only judge when people put it up Halloween night! That drives me nuts! I went into Walmart the morning of Halloween and they were taking down all the halloween stuff and putting up Christmas. I don't think a couple days away from Thanksgiving is too bad!  

I don't like my Christmas before my Thanksgiving, but I won't lie - I get excited to see Christmas Lights! I'll be decking the halls Thanksgiving afternoon.

I do not decorate for Christmas before thanksgiving but I have fall decor up (fall wreath, kitchen towels and pot holder, fall front door rug a few glass pumpkins, fall flag and an uncarved pumpkin on step and a couple pilgrim things. After thanksgiving I will take it all down do another big cleaning and then DECK THE HALLS! lol But I do not judge if ppl put up xmas decor now, I secretly love it! lol My neighbor on next street over has their xmas decor up and we always take that street home to see it! lol

have fun put them up when ever i live in wis so it gets cold out by dec you better believe when i have my own house im not freezing my bum off putting them up in dec i will probly put them up in nov then wait till april to take them down :-)
