labour...or maybe not...but maybe!

Im 70% sure Im in labour. I feel like such a n00b. This is my 4th kid - I should know whats up - but I just dont know! Ive been having irregular painful contractions every 4-8 min apart for the past few hours. I dont know if im dilated or not, as I havent been checked - ever. My doc doesnt think its neccessary and neither do I. Would be nice to know, now - as the drive to the hospital is an hour long, on the highway, and I also have to wait 45 min for my parents to come, so they can watch my kids because there is no doctor that will deliver a baby around this small ass town..

Blah. Something is telling me it's not real, and I will end up being sent home.

You know your body better than anyone else. Can you check your own cervix? I used to have DH check mine before going to the hospital so I didn't waste time

I tried to check - but im not flexible enough   can barely wipe my own ass.

My b.f wont do it either, I asked.

That sucks. I would wait until your contractions are at least regular unless you have a history of being in labor with irregular contractions.
