if it was just a belly scan, no. they just rolled the top of my pants down and stuck a towel around them. but if they are doing the internal u/s (dildo-cam) then yes, all the way off

No, I've never had to pull my pants down or anything for an ultrasound unless it was transvaginal.. They have always put a towel of some sort on my waistband. And no it has never hurt to get an ultrasound besides one time they completely filled my bladder with a catheter in the hospital and I had to hold it for the ultrasound.

maybe they didn't want to get the gel all over your pants? it was a belly scan right? not the transvaginal one where they stick that thing in your vagina? it was slightly uncomfortable for me at times because you had to have a full bladder, but it wasn't so painful i was in tears or anything. like i said, just uncomfortable at times.

Mine didn't hurt, but it didn't feel good. I had to pull them about halfway down my lady bits lol. But that was only because he was scooting around and got low. I didn't have to have a full bladder either so that may be why mine didn't hurt... My OB is always really gentle so I guess I got lucky...But it honestly sounds normal!

I've pushed my pants down and they wrap a towel at my pant line so the gel doesn't get all over my pants.
And ya, it hurts, my back hurt really bad this last time. My belly was sore all day from the stupid scan.

This doesn't sound right one bit. A WEEK off of work?..and you couldn't walk?.
Did they do an ultrasound with a box cutter?

it's a handle with a little razor blade in it that you use to cut cardboard boxes with.

but... being sore for a week after an ultrasound doesn't sound right. i would mention that to your doctor.

lol..went right over her head. I don't see how a 20 week scan is painful at all...i didnt have to pull my pants down.. they scanned my stomach. if you got pain after that..im thinking is wasnt from the actual scan....
