How long after birth can you get PPD?

I suffer from depression but seem to be having a pretty bad case lately. Baby is 8 months and I had a little PPD after I had her. Could it still be PPD?

Ive herd you can get PPD up to a year after birth.

It's considered ppd if if happens before your child is 18mos.

Yes it could still be PPD. My youngest is almost 3 and I talked with my doctor about how I have been feeling lately because my emotions have been getting worse the further my pregnancy has progressed and he mentioned that I could be suffering from PPD from my last baby. Hang in there talk with your doctor if you can. There are also some free counseling services out there but you have to look for them. If you need to talk to anyone you can always message me. It is hard to talk to people you know or at least I find it easier to talk to someone that I don't know.

Wow, this makes me feel much better. I was so scared I was falling back into old habits. Up until recently I hadn't been truly suicidal for years! After having my daughter, I'd say 8ish weeks after, I have fought depression on a daily basis.

People I know have seen me in denial, this leads them to believe I can handle it.  

I know what you mean. My family has no idea that I am even in the littlest bit depressed. They think that I am a strong woman and that I can handle everything but I cannot. I am about to have my fourth child and I am scared to death that things are going to get a lot worse. My husband didn't even know anything until about 3 months ago.
