DS has been really doin it up with the food protesting lately and tonight he just turned down the ONE sure fire dinner we can get into him: pasta.

So now the only things he'll eat are whole wheat bread, PB&J, organic whole grain waffles, organic whole grain pancakes, cereal, yogurt, organic chicken hot dogs, fruit, nutragrain bars, and animal crackers.


He won't touch any of his veggies anymore unless they're in pouch form (which I guess is better than nothing). He won't eat macaroni, mashed potatoes, chicken, turkey, cheese, oatmeal which used to be his favorite, or pasta now.

He will randomly eat a cheeseburger. I've yet to construct the exact atmosphere required for this feat.

I hate this nutritional disaster he's on   

The things you posted are already more than DD eats.

She eats easy mac, french fries, yogurt and string cheese.
Anything else she eats is just out of luck. She usually likes it, it's just getting her to eat ONE bite for her to try it is the problem. She won't eat for days if we force food on her.

We have her drinking shakes to make up for her nutrition loses. Her dr says to wait it out, keep giving her food and hope she will eat it

oh god you poor thing. I can't imagine how frustrating that must be. I honestly think we aren't too far away from this. DS won't drink anything other than water so I can't even get pediasure or whole milk into him to help fill him up. Dude has weighed the exact same since 12 months and he's 17 months now.

She will drink anything. I make her shakes with veggies in it and she can't tell. And give her pediasure shakes.
She will fight us on eating. We have to encourage her and make a huge deal out of it when she eats something new. She ate a whole plate of green beans the other day and we were SHOCKED.

Just 1 1/2 years ago she would eat anything, ANYTHING. Her favorite was green beans and peas out of a can. It's so weird to see her be so picky now, because she wasn't then  

idk, we just have to set the food in front of her and pretend shes not at the table. As soon as she starts eating we just leave her alone. It's like its a control thing for her sometimes

we have similar children. I can give pretty much anything to DS in a pouch in puree form. He doesn't like to be fed, but sometimes doesn't like to feed himself. He hates to be watched. We tried giving him stuff on his tray and walking away or sitting down and eating not looking at him but now that doesn't work anymore. He'll just look at the food on his tray and FLIP OUT. I mean screams bloody murder (real tears and everything) Idk wtf happened to this kid. I can only imagine how awful it's going to be when he's older.
