I'm still nervous about something happening to LO lol. It's completely normal and it's hard to cut off that "Well if I ever want another one..." option, it's really hard.

I would wait, because you never know what could happen. I would wait until the baby got a clean bill of health too like the other mama said. I think your point is very valid.

i told SO if for some reason i get a c-section im having them tie my tubes and he agreed too. i have even thought about essure procedure.. but if i want to be a surrogate still idk if that will effect me.. i dont THINK it would only because it clogs up your tubes and doesnt really do anythign to your uterus. but we will see.

Oh I know all about the essure, they suggested it for my mother when she had endometrial ablation and I looked into it.
I don't think it would have any influence on surrogacy at all, though the stretching of the uterus could possibly do something to it, not really sure. I'd definitely talk to your doctor before ruling it out though, it's supposed to be an amazing method.

And saying you guys agreed on this tube tying business is the same as him getting snipped after the baby...theres not really a later on down the road...KWIM?

You could wait until 6 weeks PP and not have sex until then...

I think you're making a valid point. We discussed (DH and I) him getting a vasectomy when DS is a year, but I've told him I don't think I'm ready to be done having kids. If we TTC it will be when DS is 2 and that baby will be our last.

It's kinda crazy to me that you're even thinking about the baby being born and then dying, I mean I get waiting until your out of the woods so to speak with the pregnancy but to wait until the baby is 6 months?

What if your oldest dies? Or another one of your children? Shouldn't you be thinking about that too? I mean kids die at any age, to cut it off at 6 months rather than second trimester is weird to me.

Yes you can. You cant have multiple sections in ordere to not qualify..
