Btw, I had a beta that lived 2 years in a bowl. So they may be a long term thing or they could die quickly. And yes, don't keep more than one in the same bowl or tank. They'll kill each other.

Guinea pigs are so simple to care for and while they are wasteful animals, they don't smell if their cage is up-kept. Like any pet, I clean his cage once a week. He's awesome with my almost 3yr old son and he's a sweet little guinea.

This! I had one when I was a kid. Cleaned her shavings once a week, just like I did for the cat. She never smelled, she wasn't really messy. She pooped and peed in one spot   And we loved each other. This is sooo corny, but she was my best friend. She got to listen to all my secrets! I cried so hard when she got old and died.

Yep, I love my little dude soooo much! I can't get over the fact that I know he loves me too. He just nuzzles his little head up under my neck. Such a snuggle bug and he's always there for me when I'm down or sad. I wouldn't know what to do without him.
