So nervous...*Court*

Tomorrow is our court date for BD's failure to comply with a court order (Child Support). I filed back in May 2011, didn't get a judgement until June of this year, backdated child support until April of this year (I was dissapointed they didn't backdate it to the date filed but whatever), and he hasn't paid a dime. Right now he's exactly $1,496 behind and they're finally doing something.
He told his mother he wasn't going to show up, messaged me on my Administrator Facebook account (I'm Admin over a page and need anonymity, but he knew of that account because I had to send him information) and asked me to call the Judge and tell the Judge that he can't make it because he doesn't have a ride and he's sick. I told him to do it himself.
I checked the online C/S case and it doesn't say that it's being continued, so I'm guessing he didn't call. Our case to establish support was continued twice and both times he had me call. He has access to a computer with internet, phone with internet, etc. He has the means of finding the number and calling, just chose to ask me to do so and I'm not doing it this time.
I'm nervous. I really want them to hold him responsible and show him that it's not cool, but I'm so scared it's going to be another freaking slap on the wrist and "It's okay son, you're trying." when he's not. He got a check for $1,200 and has no rent, no electricity bills, nothing he has to pay for, and blew it on cocaine. At the time, he owed me around $1,300.
Rant, vent, questions? I don't know, I'm just really nervous.

He's 8 months behind and owes less than $1500!!! My DH pays that month!

Yeah, it sucks. He only has to pay $187 a month, but I'm not going to be touching it, it's going to go into LO's college savings.
He's also supposed to be carrying insurance on him, got a new job a few weeks ago and has not informed CSE so that he can get the SS# to start carrying insurance. I'm hoping that'll be brought up in court as well.

My DH also has to carry full benefits on my stepdaughters. It's medical, dental and vision. He doesn't have a choice though because somehow when he started working for his company 10+ years ago he was in the system and it was directly deducted. He didn't even have to give paper work. It's crazy.

Lol omg. I just looked up what can happen if he's charged with failure to comply with a court order in terms of Child Support in NC, and apparently, they can take anything from his Drivers License to his freaking Fishing License lmfaooooo. Oh god I can't wait to call his mama, she'll get a kick out of that (She's just as pissed at him as I am for not paying)

My ex thought that he wouldn't have to pay back pay but he did! The goverment will see how much he owes u when he files taxes and they will take his tax check and it will go staright to u and if he is suppose to carry insurance they will say something about it but if he dooesnt show up to court they will either put a warrant out for his arrest or hold him in contempt of court so trust me he will be screwed and quit calling the courts to get him out of court dates because that is probably y he keeps getting away with certain things is because u r helping him skip court. So go to court if he doesn't show let the system take care of it don't back him up and help him out.

Oh I am done, that's why I didn't do it this time.
I used to pity him and feel sorry for him which is why I tried to help him, but before Halloween I called him knowing he got that $1,200 check and begged him to pay even just $20 in child support because I didn't have enough money for gas to get to campus, or enough money to get him diapers and he smurf on me.
He can do his own errands now lol.

Ya I wouldn't help him just let the courts deal with everything! My ex just said something to me about him wanting joint custody because he thinks he won't have to pay support anymore so I told hime that he needs to get a lawyer and take me to court because if he can't afford to pay me 356 a month then he can't support her living there because kids and babies r so expensive! Guys have it so easy we get to go through 9 months of wear and tear on our bodies and if they skip out on the child then we r screwd no matter and of course we want to do anything for our babies and if that is fighting to get what we need then I suppose that's what we do because I know I won't let any of my babies go without that's for sure! Good luck in court and deffinetly don't do him any favors that could screw with u and support! Because if u don't need the money your baby will in the long run!!!

did you guys ever live together because i know my boys dad and i lived together for a few months so he doesnt have to pay child support for those months for example my son brad was born 12 22 2009 and his child support starts at 06 01 2010... just saying cuz i seen you say something about it starting later

Nah, we've never lived together lol. He dissapeared when I was 6 weeks and I couldn't track him down until LO was 5 months old, which is when I filed.
