Yeah, but that's not thousands of dollars worth of stuff all at once. You don't NEED pacis, for example, I did not give my son a nukki (pacifier) at all, I don't think they are good for babies oral health, you should really only be buying a pack of newborns and a pack of ones BEFORE the baby comes because there is no guarantee how big your baby will be, my son wore newborns for like a week? wekk and a half? You don't NEED a crib, there are other options. When I was at my moms, my son slept in a Moses basket.

The only things you really really need to come home from the hospital are a carseat, a place for baby to sleep (whether it's a crib or something else), clothes, diapers, wipes and some blankets. A lot of women breastfeed, you don't need bottles or even a pump to breastfeed.

It's really not too complicated - I know you don't understand what a lot of this is, no one really expects you to. I am sure your girlfriend will let you know the things she will need and how much it costs.

I'm working on my second, chick. I bought all the "essentials" with my first and wasted thousands on bullsmurf we never used.

And you're making a mighty lot of assumptions. Wic have me a pump both times and I made out like a smurfing king at my baby shower.

Have the kid and see what works for a few months before telling everyone what you NEED for a baby.

You don't NEED pacifiers or bottles, especially if you breastfeed. Don't need a stroller, don't need bibs, I never used burpers or special wash clothes or towels.

Me, either! LOL - I feel bad laughing at first time moms but all this stuff they waste money on and don't even realize it!

I invested in a really nice Jeep stroller after my son was born because I took public transportation and I ended up using that thing every single day and it was a wonderful investment, but not everyone is in that position to need one.

You should just calm down, take a deep breath and go be with your girlfriend. I'm sure she is just as scared and confused as you are and you BOTH obviously need someone to lean on at this point - I really do wish you luck and I hope everything works out.

How don't u need a stroller? How are you going to take your kid out? I don't know anyone who didn't use or doesn't use a stroller.

WIC told me how to get a breastpump, but isn't giving me one. And that place told me they won't give me one till after the baby is born, if the hosptial doesn't give me one. (What hospital gives out free breastpumps?) I just keep being thrown in a loop! Its very irritating.

At least u feel bad... its not to late to apologize... was married and 25 and was still scared smurfless...
Its another lil person u will have to worry about for the rest of ur lives... its very scary and u won't have all the answers... I'm 27 now with 3 of them, and my mind is so eratic all the time...

If u or her need to talk I'm here   try to keep a cool head she needs u more than ever now... and it will mean the world to her to know ur there, even if ur scared... be there

A LOT of people wear their babies and don't ever use a stroller. I probably won't buy one this time because I plan on using a wrap.
