Yes. DD is on it and they said in order to keep her benefits she has to keep up to date on all vaccines and follow the states schedule.

There is no exemption process? I do not see how this is legal.

As far as I know, the only way she could get out of a shot is by having a bad reaction. She can call her caseworker but they don't ask if it violates your religion. They state that you HAVE to follow all precautionary procedures and vaccines are the first thing listed. I asked my caseworker about it (we were going to delay when DD had a stomach bug) and I was told she would be dropped if I missed her appointment.

I emailed the assistant director of MiChild and this was the response. So it is not required to stay on the program..

Oh that's weird. I had multiple people tell me it was required for her to say on the insurance. It's even in the booklet I was sent lol well I'm glad she has the choice so she doesn't have to vaccinate her kids if she doesn't want to

They can threaten you and try to coerce you, but no they can not make it a requirement for insurance benefits.
