Smfh. My friend had her kid FF at 8 months, she is a little ditzy though. She thought because the car seat said at 20 pounds you can forward face, that is what she did. I told her it was 20 pounds AND 1 year old.

Well at least she can blame it on lack of knowledge. I bombarded my friend with info hahaha

I like the idea of sharing the kellymom link.

Yea, I told her about it and how it is better to ERF. She told me she would fix the seat and thanked me.

At a month old, even baby food is unacceptable. The gut is not developed enough to handle digesting anything other than breastmilk/formula.

I started solids at 4 months with each of my older kids upon their pediatrician's recommendation. This time, I'm waiting until at least 6 months...and she will have to be displaying signs of readiness.

I think it's good that you're posting that link. Nothing saying she will read it, but at least she can't say no one gave her any information if her kid grows up to have gastrointestinal issues, allergies, etc.

Exactly! My DD didn't get baby food until she was 6 months old.

People seem to think eating solids is a "milestone". like it's something to brag about. They don't realize that no matter how "advanced" the child is, they STILL won't be developed enough for solids until around 6 months.
my daughter didn't TOUCH food until 8 1/2 months lol! I kept thinking something was WRONG. I offered, she refused. I was so excited when she finally started eating. now (14 months) you can't STOP her haha

maybe just warn her that feeding anything other than milk so early can cause allergies later on & digestion problems. i dont know what would make someone want to introduce solids that early
