What does he do for work?

Do you expect for him to do anything or for him to help you out after a long day at work?

Explain!

My SO works 4pm-1am (sometimes later) and he unloads the big semis for Wal Mart. When gets home... if LO happens to be awake he will help out with her and just spend time with her so I can get some downtime. But mostly she is asleep. And he will just relax, eat, unwind and then go to sleep.

DH is an account executive for the Pittsburgh pirates (pro baseball team). During the season he works 12 hours a day almost 6 days a week..but off season is has a usual 8-530 schedule. When he comes home he plays with dd and helps me. He does anything I ask/need. He would cook but he sucks so I do he cooking and he'll clean up. We have been together since we were 16 and we make a great team   I am very lucky.

You do not seem pleased with that situation.

when I WAS married... he worked for an ethanol plant. He worked 7 12 hour shifts every 2 weeks. When he was home... he ate, slept and watched TV. He cooked more than I did because he liked to, and because eh THOUGHT he was a better book. He took out the trash when I bitched about it.

DH is in the army as an informational technology specialist...aka a computer tech.
He comes home and plays video games or watches movies with me.
He works about 40 hours or more on average per week. But, you never know with the army.

We don't have children but I don't expect him to do any deep cleaning. He's a grown man, he can pick up after himself, take the trash out, keep up with the yard, and take care of the vehicles. When we have children, that may or may not change. I cook ONE meal a day, deep clean on Sundays, and surface clean Mon-Fri if I have time. Its just us and the dogs, not much to keep up with. I work 30 hours a week and am in school full time.

I don't think it should matter what he does, but take into consideration what both of us do. We both work a lot and go to school. So we both Have to do stuff around the house. He does way more than me though because I do a LOT more homework and I work more hours plus I take out dd to and from school which is 40 mins from
Home and 30 mins from my work. So I'm on the road a lot more.

He's a paramedic and a medical student. He does a lot of his school work at home, so he's always around to help. He'll do pretty much anything I ask him to....minus stack the dishwasher. He hates the smell of dirty dishes, lol.
