food issues

posted 18th Nov
I tend to be pretty relaxed when it comes it dinner time. I always thought it was my job to make the food and my kids job to eat it, I've never made them eat anything or made them sit at the table until they eat but I do cook dinner every day and they at least have to sit at the table with us as a family. However, my 4 year old has recently stared to freak out and say "I don't want to see what you're eating, it's gross!" and cover his eyes the whole time. He will do this with anything from chicken, to pizza, to to lasagna and today freaked out because he had to sit next to his little sister while she ate a PB and J sandwich. It's really pissing me off and I really don't know how to deal with it. On one hand I can remember sitting next to my uncle at meals and being totally grossed out because he would mix all his food together and eat it that way but that's not what's happening here. I usually tell him to just look somewhere else but with the holidays coming up and he's having a Thanksgiving feast at his school I really need a better solution. Any ideas?
