I know there's someone on here that has it and just posted something earlier today, don't know if she's on right now though.

I have it, as well as a couple other clotting issues. There are others on here. It is not exactly common, but not so rare, either.

I was diagnosed with two copies MTFHR about a week and half ago. A few days after I found out I had MTHFR I found out I was pregnant.
I've been put on 1 mg of folic acid 3 times a day, a prenatal vitamin, b100 complex and was told to continue baby aspirin.
I'm curious to see how other pregnancies went while suffering from MTHFR and to hear stories from others.
I'm scared not only for my health but for the health of my baby. Everything is so new to me and I guess I don't know how to really deal with it.

I had two miscarriages before I put myself on baby aspirin because I knew I had a clotting disorder, though prior testing had said it was a different form (Factor V Leiden, which I actually don't have at all). At 8 weeks with my third known pregnancy, I went to my first prenatal appointment and they sent me to a specialist OB for genetic testing, where we found I am heterozygous for MTHFR and a couple other clotting disorders. I was immediately taken off the aspirin, prescribed folic acid in massive amounts, and put on heparin injections into my stomach twice daily for the entire duration of my pregnancy and six weeks after. I was high risk for that and more...we lived through a car wreck at 19 weeks where he was fine but my back is messed up still...high blood pressure that ultimately resulted in induction at 37 weeks and a premature NICU baby. He is 3 1/2 years old and fine now.
If blood thinners are being discussed...in my opinion, you should do it. It sucks, but I believe the early aspirin is the only reason I made it to the doctor with him, and the heparin is what continued the pregnancy.

I didn't get to see my doctor when I went into my appointment, he actually got stuck delivering two babies. But, the nurse said to continue the baby aspirin and once I hit the second trimester I will start something called Lovenox and once the third trimester comes around I will start the heparin. That will probably change though. I get to see my doctor on December 3rd to discuss everything.
Sorry about your losses

And looking it up again, new research is more concerned about folate and neural tube defects than blood clotting, which was part of my whole package.
My son is 3 1/2, healthy, and bright, no defect.

I was diagnosed in my 4th pregnancy after having 3 babies with IUGR and severe premature labor. I've had spotting/bleeding in all of my pregnancies. I was put on bedrest for preterm labor and baby not growing every single pregnancy. I had super tiny placentas which I was told contributed to the baby being so small. In my 4th pregnancy I was taking 5mg folic acid, a prenatal vitamin, a baby aspirin every day. My babies made it close to term on all these meds (my first 2 were preemie) but were still super small. My biggest only made it to 5lbs 1oz. I have had a ton of early loss, too many to count. I would miss a period, get a faint line and bleed a few days later. My latest miscarriage was 6w 5d, the others I would guess were somewhere around 4 weeks. My advice? Take all of your meds religiously and follow your instincts. If something seems off call your doctor.

Lovenox is once a day generally while heparin is twice a day. They do heparin in the third trimester because it comes out of your system faster, and they don't want it in your system when you actually deliver.
I was on heparin because my insurance would not pay for lovenox, which, fair warning, is quite pricey, or at least was 4 years ago.
Both are injected into the abdomen. It isn't horrific. But they do burn, sometimes worse than others.
