umm he should be nursing every few hours. like 2-4. he's a newborn. their tummy is the size of a marble. and he's getting the super good colostrum.

Ignore them, they shouldn't be getting mad because you nurse close together. Every time a nurse came to check on me i was nursing and they never said anything besides how were we doing and if i need a lactation consultant. DD nursed about every hour for the first few days that we were in the hospital.

I had my baby tuesday, and he would latch but would get frustrated that he had to suck so hard to get the colostrum. i was freaking out, feeling like i was starving my baby. I gave him formula until 2 days ago, and use a nipple shield and he takes my breast now that my milk has come in.
There's this thing you can get that is like a little tube that you tape to flow formula down to your nipple, so you have him latch on with the little tube hanging from your nipple, so hes breastfeeding, stimulating your milk supply & getting formula, so everyone is happy.   Idk what it's called but just a suggestion. my doc have me it in the hospital.
& also my baby eats literally every 2 hours almost on the dot

I wouldnt suggest bottle feeding, but if he isnt satisfied or latching, you gotta do what you gotta do... because I was dead set on breastfeeding too. :/
