Appointment with the State's Attorney
posted 18th Nov
My son is 7 months and his father haven't seen my son since he was 3 months old and he's been ignoring me every time I want to talk to him about our kid. Because of this, I filed child support in September. I just got a letter in the mail yesterday saying that I have an appointment with the state's attorney. My question is, what would happen in this appointment and how should I get prepared for it?
And if your'e wondering, no his father is not on the birth certificate

They're probably going to ask you how to get in touch with the father, stuff like that.
Btw it doesn't matter if he's not on the BC, I believe after paternity is established, they will put him on the BC whether you agree or not. I'm pretty sure...
